The Delta Juvenile Fish Monitoring Program's goals are to define the impacts of water development on the estuarine salmon population and to document the water quality requirements (including flow standards) needed to both sustain and enhance salmon production. The goals have been broadened since the program's inception and reflect an overall desire to gain information on what management actions can be taken to improve the survival of juvenile salmon rearing and/or migrating through the Delta as well as document non-salmonid temporal and spatial distribution.
