The Juvenile Fish Monitoring Program is currently in the process
of implementing a natural resource pathways HACCP
plan for beach
seining. A concurrent plan which addresses the use of boats
to conduct field sampling in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta and Estuary is also being implemented.
The purpose of our natural resource HACCP plan is to minimize the
spread of hitchhiking non-target species which could become invasive
to the rivers, delta and estuary. The HACCP plan identifies potential hazards
field studies may pose to the spread of non-target species and
specific control measures directed to minimize the spread of these
species.
